^Lot 496 Savage Fox Model B 20 Ga NVSN

Fox Model B side by side double barrel 20 gauge box-lock shotgun by Savage Arms manufactured between 1939 and 1988 (This firearm is Pre-'68). It features approximately 28" blued raised vent rib barrels, steel bead front sight, steel bead rear sight, 2 3/4" chambers, color-case hardened receiver, serrated sliding tang safety, extractor, and dual polished silver toned triggers. The hardwood furniture consists of a semi-pistol grip buttstock with checkering at the wrist, grip cap, checkered forend, and a red Noshog solid rubber recoil pad. The receiver displays limited coverage of floral engravings on the sides with 'Fox' in the centers, and an etched water foul hunting scene is depicted on the bottom. The bores appear bright and shiny, and the action locks up tight. The original blued finish remaining is approximately 97% with thinning along the side of the right barrel, and scattered superficial scratches. The color-case hardened finish is excellent. Wood furniture is near excellent with some very minor handling marks on the buttstock. The length-of-pull is 14.5". The left bore measures 'IM,' and the right bore measures 'IC' with a drop-in gauge.
